From the day that I heard,
I’ve been praying for you;
Inspired by the Word,
The knowledge to pursue.
The knowledge of His will,
In spiritual wisdom;
Understand to instill,
Entering the saintdom.
Walk in a manner,
As worthy of the Lord;
The cross is your banner,
Being in one accord.
Bear fruit with all good deeds,
Increase knowledge of God;
Faith straightens that succeeds,
When you honor and laud.
For His glorious might,
To endure your patience;
Giving you the insight,
Through the Lord’s assurance.
Give thanks to the Father,
For your inheritance;
Shared with Christ your Brother,
In your inhabitance.
He rescued from darkness,
Transferred to His kingdom;
Clothed to hide your starkness,
Witnessed to His wisdom.
For we have redemption,
The forgiveness of sin;
Giving a preemption,
To purify within.
